Serbian EBC*L Representative office participates actively in the “Employed- Empowered” project. This project is funded by European Union under Aeneas Programme and co-funded by Balcan Fund for Democracy and Erste Stiftung.

During the 2008 Vladimir Ivankovic, head of the EBCL representative of Serbia, moderated three workshops within the scope of the project. Extending the cooperation with the Project “Employed- Empowered”, Serbian Representative office will provide EBC*L training of 48 beneficiaries of the project (special groups) in February 2009.

In order to present training activities within the Project’s framework press conference has been held in Belgrade Media Centre at the end of December 2008. The speakers were: Mr. Nenad Sebek, director of CDRSEE, Mr Dragan Djukic, Deputy director of National Employment Service, Ivan Stoilovic, IAN Telecentar, Tatjana Bakraclic, National commission for refugees and Vladimir Ivankovic, EBC*L Serbia.

The Minister of Agriculture of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Mr. Danijel Petrovic received Mr. Vladimir Ivankovic, national representative of EBC*L in Serbia. In 2008 Provincial Secretariat of Agriculture has funded accreditation of an EBC*L exam centre in the village Botos, followed by the training of a group of farmers from Botos.

During the meeting both sides exchanged their opinions about cooperation in 2008 and concluded that it is necessary to intensify cooperation new year.
