EBC*L Conference „Lifelong Learning and Intrapreneurship Education” and
5th International Meeting for EBC*L National Representative Offices in Sibenik, Croatia

For the second time EBC*L International and the Council Business Competence for Europe organized a symposium for Business Competence. The central theme of this years conference was „Lifelong Learning and Intrapreneurship Education“ and took place on September 10th 2008 in Sibenik, Croatia. More than 80 participants from 25 countries
|

used this conference as an excellent platform to discuss and debate about the actual European education policy, intrapreneurship and entrepreneurship education, measuring competences or the importance of lifelong learning. |

The conference was under the patronage of the Croatian Ministry for Science, Education and Sport and opened by the State Secretary Zelimi Janjic. Greetings to the conference were send by Vice President Günter Verheugen, Commissioner for Enterprise and Industry and Jan Figl, Commissioner for Education, Training, Culture and Youth.

After the symposium the 5th International Meeting for EBC*L National Representative Offices was held on September 11th - September 12th 2008. The 45 participants from 24 EBC*L countries were confronted with a full packed working programme. As a main topic of this years meeting new strategies and concepts to improve EBC*L
|

marketing and implementation in the countries were discussed. For the first time we could welcome representatives from new EBC*L countries like Russia, Nigeria, Netherlands, Spain and China. The representative certificates were solemnly hand over by MMag. Victor Mihalic and Prof. Dr. Dr. Gerhard E. Ortner.
